I am running a 6-hour training session in April called “Introduction to Neurodiversity”, and then I hope to follow that up in the Autumn with Session 2 “Working Therapeutically with Neurodiversity in the Therapy Room”
Session 1 will be on Saturday 29th April 2023 9.30am-4pm with a 30 min lunch break. It is aimed at any professionals working directly with people, or Employers who wish to know more about Neurodiversity to offer a more diverse/inclusive working environment.
It will cover the ND Umbrella, the main traits/behaviours and difficulties for Autistic/ADHD and other ND individuals and how they may present, how those traits may differ between Adults & Children/Young People, how traits may overlap with other Neurodiversity’s and/or Trauma. It will help professionals with being able to identify possible ND in clients and how to explore this, and to help them to think about assessments if they so wish to. You will learn also about Sensory Concerns, Emotional regulation, Rejection Sensitivity, Interoception and much more.
Session 2 – This will be aimed towards any professionals working therapeutically with adults, Children and Young People. It will cover how ND may impact a client’s presentation in the therapy space, the barriers you may encounter, how to work with the traits/behaviours that maybe a part of your client’s profile and how to support the client with this. It is expected to attend this session that you have completed Session 1 or already have knowledge of ND so when using terminology, you already understand them.
The cost of each session will be £60, please email me directly on tasha@seenandheardtherapy.co.uk to book your space and for payment details.
